Amul and Mother Dairy milk are expensive, and the price would increase so much
Where will the price go up
Milk prices have been hiked in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad and Saurashtra, Delhi-NCR, West Bengal, Mumbai, and all other markets where Amul is marketing its fresh milk. GCMMF said that the price of Amul Gold, Shakti, and Fresh Milk brands has increased by Rs 2 per liter.
When will you get expensive milk?
Amul milk price hike will be effective from August 17. According to Amul, the increase in milk prices is due to an increase in the total cost of operation and production of milk.
This is the company’s argument
The company has said that this price hike is being done due to an increase in the total cost of operation and production of milk. Animal feed costs alone have increased by about 20 percent over the last year. Keeping in view the increase in input cost, the member unions of the company have increased the prices of farmers by 8-9 percent as compared to the previous year.
4 percent increase
Amul said in a statement that an increase of Rs 2 per liter translates into a 4 percent increase in the maximum retail price (MRP) which is lower than the average food inflation. Amul gives about 80 paise of every rupee paid by consumers for milk and milk products to milk producers.
Mother Dairy milk prices will also increase from tomorrow
Mother Dairy has also decided to increase milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR. Mother Dairy had increased milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region) in March. Mother Dairy is one of the leading milk suppliers in the Delhi-NCR market and sells more than 30 lakh liters per day through poly packs and vending machines. The price of its full cream milk will increase from Rs 59 per liter to Rs 61 per liter from Wednesday.
The price of toned milk will increase to Rs 51 and that of double toned milk to Rs 45 per liter. The price of cow’s milk has been reduced to Rs 53 per liter. The price of toned milk will increase to Rs 51 and that of double toned milk to Rs 45 per liter. The price of bulk vending milk (token milk) has been increased from Rs 46 per liter to Rs 48. One of its officials said that the company has seen an increase in input cost in the last five months and that is why the hike is being done.
