Last month, there was news that WhatsApp will soon give users the option to write captions while sharing a document. Now, this feature has gone live in the latest beta version of the app 2.22.22.7. According to WABetaInfo, it is currently active only for a select few beta users, due to which it may not be available for you. Let us know about this feature in detail.

You will be able to write captions while sending a document on WhatsApp

When you send a picture in WhatsApp, you get the option to write a caption under the photo. But you did not get this facility till now while sending the document. You had to send the caption by writing it separately in the message. Now WhatsApp has added the option of captions for documents in its latest Android beta version for some users. It is expected that soon this feature will be rolled out to all users of the beta version and then in the stable version as well.

WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot of this new feature. It is seen that on sharing the document in the chat, the user is getting the option of Adding a caption… just like the picture, under which the send button is given. You can type a caption by tapping on this box.

With the help of this caption, you can easily find this document later. All you have to do is use the search option present in the chat.

Recently, the company has started the WhatsApp Premium feature in the beta app for business users. This is a subscription service, in exchange for which users will get extra features that are related to custom business links and multi-device support. With this premium plan, users can create a custom landing URL for their business, which can be the business name instead of the mobile number. Along with this, through multi-device support, WhatsApp Premium users will be able to connect 10 devices to their account at a time instead of 4. This premium subscription service has just been started for select beta users.
