WhatsApp: New features are coming continuously. The company is working on a variety of features to make the popular instant messaging app more fun and useful. According to the latest report, the company is planning to bring a new WhatsApp version for tablet users. The WhatsApp for Tablet feature will be rolled out to all beta testers with future updates. At present, it is in the development phase. Read below to know about it in detail.

WhatsApp for Tablet

According to a report by WABetainfo, a website tracking WhatsApp’s upcoming feature, WhatsApp was releasing a version of Companion Mode, which allows Android tablets to be linked to existing WhatsApp accounts. Now finally this has become possible due to the new companion capability.

Users will be able to run WhatsApp on the tablet without using the new phone number. Currently, only a few beta testers can use their WhatsApp accounts on tablets. However, the WhatsApp Beta for Android update has revealed that the company will be rolling out a WhatsApp version for tablets in the future.

A banner will appear in the app

A screenshot is given in the report. It appears that WhatsApp is planning to release “WhatsApp for tablets” using a new in-app banner that will appear in future updates to the app. The banner will inform users that a new version of WhatsApp for tablets is available to beta testers.

Note that some beta testers may already link their accounts to WhatsApp on the tablet. Simply download the WhatsApp beta from the Play Store using your tablet to see if you can use the new version of Multi-Device. If you see a QR code screen after opening WhatsApp on your tablet, it means that you can link your tablet to your existing WhatsApp account.

If the QR code screen doesn’t appear, but you need to enter your phone number to log in to your account, it means you can’t link your tablet to your existing WhatsApp account and you’ll need to update it in future updates. Will have to wait.
