Tata Altroz ​​CNG or Tata Altroz ​​EV?

Let us tell you that Tata Motors has been testing the Altroz ​​CNG for some time now. Its prototype has already been spotted with an emission testing kit. According to reports, if it is launched, it could come with a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG kit.

Talking about the Tata Altroz ​​EV, this electric hatchback was introduced at the 2022 Auto Expo. This model comes with a closed off-grill, updated front and rear bumpers, a front air dam with a star pattern, redesigned alloy wheels with blue highlights, a blacked-out tailgate, and repositioned badges. On the inside, it has a rotary gear selector.

While the official specifications of the Altroz ​​EV are yet to be revealed, it is expected to come with Tata’s Ziptron powertrain. A magnetic AC motor can be given in its setup. Talking about the range of this electric hatchback, it can run for about 250-300 kilometers on a single charge.

Currently, this premium hatchback from Tata is offered with 3 engine options. These include a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 86PS of power and 113Nm of peak torque. The 1.2L i-Turbo engine produces 110PS of power and 140Nm of torque. Apart from this, the 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine generates 90PS of power and 200Nm of torque. The company claims that its naturally aspirated petrol engine can give a mileage of 18.53kmpl. Whereas the turbo engine can give a mileage of 18.13kmpl. Apart from this, the diesel engine can give a mileage of 23.03kmpl.
