Will Mahindra launch 5 new electric SUVs or not? Anand Mahindra told the truth: Mahindra and Mahindra recently took the wraps off the concept of 5 electric SUVs. These new upcoming models include XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09. Although these are all concept models, the company’s chairman Anand Mahindra has confirmed that the company will launch all of them.

According to Mahindra, all these upcoming electric SUVs will be built on the same modular INGLO platform. Also, their cabin design and features are also different. Along with this, things like the Twin Peak logo in copper finish will also be available. Mahindra’s new electric SUV will be sold in both domestic and international markets.

Mahindra XUV.e Electric SUVs

Mahindra has introduced two SUVs in the XUV.e series. These include the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9. Of these, the XUV.e8 will be launched in December 2024. From the design point of view, the XUV.e8 looks similar to the company’s popular SUV, the XUV700. Although the front fascia is completely different. On the inside, the XUV.e8 sports a 3-row seating configuration, similar to the XUV700. In terms of size, the XUV.e8 will be bigger than the XUV700. According to reports, the XUV.e8 will pack a battery pack of 80 kWh that will produce a power output of around 230 hp to 350 hp. Apart from this, the electric SUV will have an all-wheel drive system.

Apart from this, the XUV.e9 will be launched in April 2025. It has a coupe-like profile. It will be 4,790 mm long, 1,905 mm wide, and 1,690 mm high. At the same time, its wheelbase will be 2,775 mm. The XUV.e9 will be offered in a 5-seat configuration.

Mahindra BE Electric SUVs

Mahindra’s first BE series model will be the BE.05, which will be launched in October 2025. The Mahindra BE range will be more stylish than the XUV.e electric SUVs. However, some features will remain the same, such as C-shaped LED DRLs, rear LED elements, door handles, sporty alloy wheels, and the square-off wheel arch.

The BE.05 has an SUV-coupe profile. Key features include rotary control for gears, a 2-spoke steering wheel, and two large touchscreens. The BE.05 will measure 4,370m in length and will be placed above the XUV400 in the company’s EV line-up. This electric car will compete with the Tata Curvv which can be launched in 2024.
