She mostly appeared in South Indian movies. Bhanu made her debut with the Bachna Ae Haseeno in 2008. She also worked in different languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and Kannada. Bhanu did her college studies at Sophia Junior College, Mumbai. She started her career with tv ad commercials.

She played a supporting role in this film. In 2013, she made her Punjabi film debut through the film titled Fer Mamla Gadbad Gadbad.
The film however boomed at the box office. She thought made ammends with her next Punjabi film Oh My Pyo in which she was cast alongside legendary Punjabi film actor Binnu Dhillon. Since 2014, she has worked mostly in Telugu films such as Brother of Bommali, Govindudu Andarivadele, and Ala Ela. She was recently seen in the Tamil film Simba which was released in the year 2019. She also worked in a Kannada film Deal Raja in the year 2016.
