PM Modi : India’s railway network is set for another major upgrade! 🇮🇳 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the second Vande Bharat Sleeper Express on July 17, marking another milestone in Indian Railways’ mission to provide faster, safer, and world-class train travel.
Named the Sant Ravidas Express, the premium sleeper train will connect Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) with Cheharta (Amritsar, Punjab), making travel easier for pilgrims, tourists, students, business travellers, and daily commuters.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the train through video conferencing from Jalandhar, Punjab. During the event, he will also inaugurate the newly developed advanced railway station at Jalandhar.
The Railway Board has officially approved the train’s timetable, and operations will begin soon after the inauguration.

The Sant Ravidas Express will run between Cheharta (Punjab) and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) under train numbers:
