Arjumman Mughal was born and raised in Jammu. After initial education from Jammu, she relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling. She soon started getting modeling offers and modeled for various brands while she was still studying in school. She also got associated with theatre from a very young age.
She came into the public eye after she was conferred the International women’s achievement award as Popular Model in the year 2012. She was approached by a Tamil filmmaker to play the lead role of a Kashmiri girl in a Tamil film. She, however, couldn’t bag that role. She finally made her acting debut with the Bollywood film called Ya Rab in the year 2014. The film boomed at the box office but her performance was highly acclaimed. For her performance in the film, she won as many as 12 awards including the Ambedkar awards and Shourya awards among others.
